Mackie’s latest line

Share

Famous for dressing Cher, Emmy Award-winning costumer Bob Mackie unveils his latest home collection this week at the High Point Market, the furnishings trade show in North Carolina. Expanding his offerings like other fashionable furniture designers, Mackie’s new “Signature” line is a welcome departure from his more traditional efforts for American Drew, a division of La-Z-Boy. The Signature china cabinet, right, has a Hepplewhite-inspired design of overlapping diamonds cut into the glass doors. His Jazz Age-style armoire uses a similar pattern with primavera inlays on a Santos rosewood veneer. Both pieces feature drop tassel pulls and will sell for around $2,800 in stores next March.
