‘Dan’ is No. 2 in reel life

Share

“Saw IV” was the third straight film in the horror series to finish first on opening weekend, each with more than $30 million. The romantic comedy “Dan in Real Life” opened at the upper end of expectations.

The critically praised dramas “Michael Clayton” and “Gone Baby Gone” are holding up well, though neither looks like a big hit.

Overall receipts were down for the sixth straight weekend.
