Security to be tightened after high school brawls
Officials say they will increase security at Patterson High School after a dozen brawls involving nearly 100 students erupted on the campus.
Wednesday’s incident probably was gang-related, school officials and students said.
Four students were treated for minor injuries by an ambulance crew on campus, said Deputy Royjindar Singh, a spokesman for the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.
Four 17-year-old male students were arrested on suspicion of fighting on school grounds. Two also were arrested on suspicion of assault and fighting with a school staff member.
