Energy policy has no alternatives

Every time an alternative fuel comes up, the lobbyists and think tanks invent reasons why nothing but oil will do. The April 1 edition of The Times contained three stories that illustrate some disinformation.

I don’t think Mr. Cheney and his friends have prepared us very well during their seven years of rule for the coming crises in oil.
