Bicycle pedals could break

About 80,000 KeO bicycle pedals, made in France and distributed by Look Cycle USA, are being recalled because the steel axle inside the pedal can break, posing a hazard to cyclists, the company and the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. The company has received 14 reports of broken-pedal incidents, including seven injuries. The recalled pedals are black and include the models KeO Classic, KeO Sprint, KeO HM and KeO Carbon. * About 58,000 Chicago Electric halogen work lights, made in China and distributed by Harbor Freight Tools, are being recalled because the lights can overheat and melt, and pose a risk of fire and electrical shock. The recall includes 500-watt halogen work lights with the model No. 30858. The product was sold at Harbor Freight Tools stores nationwide, through Harbor Freight Tools catalogs and online from February 2006 through March of this year. * About 1,300 cribs, made in Canada by Mother Hubbard’s Cupboards, are being recalled because they might allow children inside to climb over the railing and fall. The cribs include the models Enchantment, Hush a Bye, Once Upon a Time and Rock a Bye, with the model Nos. 210, 215, 320 and 1900-350.
