Dick Cheney: An article in Section A on Saturday about Vice President Dick Cheney speaking at the Republican National Convention cited Alben W. Barkley as an example of a sitting Republican vice president who addressed delegates at his party’s convention. Barkley, vice president under President Truman, was a Democrat.
