Teen’s hotel stay a bad idea
I was amazed that most of the moms Catharine Hamm spoke with thought a 17-year-old daughter can stay in a hotel room alone [“Sorry Kid,” On the Spot, Aug. 10]. Maybe these were moms of toddlers who have no clue.
I’ve raised four kids and would consider it neglect and downright lazy parenting to put a young girl in a hotel alone.
But I guess some just don’t want to be inconvenienced. Sad.
