She’ll be back: “The Wendy Williams Show,” which concludes a six-week trial run on KTTV-TV Channel 11 and three other stations this week, has been picked up for national distribution by Fox Television Stations. It will return in mid-2009.

Holiday album: She’s won 18 Grammys, the National Medal of the Arts Award and is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but the album that Aretha Franklin is releasing Oct. 14 on DMI Records is a first for her: a collection of holiday songs. It will be titled “This Christmas Aretha.”
