Molestation nets teacher 90-day term

A high school music teacher was sentenced Monday to 90 days in jail after being convicted of molesting a 16-year-old student in his campus office.

Bijon Savero Watson, 40, of Santa Ana will also be on formal probation for five years and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. He was convicted May 22 of three misdemeanor counts of annoyance for molesting the student.

Watson was the director of the jazz program at the Orange County School of the Arts, a middle and high school campus in Santa Ana. He met the victim through the music program when she was 12.
