Woman charged in terrorist plot
Times Wire Reports
Authorities charged a Belgian woman, the widow of a man involved in killing an anti-Taliban warlord in 2001, with belonging to a terrorist group plotting a suicide attack.
Malika El Aroud, 49, was charged along with five men. Eight others arrested Thursday were released for lack of evidence. The sweep came on the day European Union leaders met in Brussels.
