Update: This is USC’s second-to-last nonconference game before opening Pacific 10 Conference play at Oregon on Jan. 2. The Trojans erased a five-point halftime deficit to defeat North Dakota State, 61-57, on Saturday as freshmen forwards DeMar DeRozan and Leonard Washington played the best games of their young careers. Georgia Tech beat Pepperdine, 86-58, on Saturday. Five Yellow Jackets players average more than 10 points a game, including sophomore forward Gani Lawal, who is scoring 18.2 points and taking 10.2 rebounds a game.
