Pacific Symphony names Bulgarian

Bulgarian native Maxim Eshkenazy has been appointed to a one-year term as assistant conductor of the Pacific Symphony, beginning in September.
His previous conducting positions have included the posts of music director of the Bakersfield Youth Orchestra and the Pasadena Youth Symphony and assistant conductor of the American Youth Symphony.
A graduate of the Sofia Conservatory and a double master of music degree in conducting and violin performance from USC, Eshkenazy will lead the orchestra’s youth and family concerts, serve as music director of the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra and assist music director Carl St.Clair, as needed.
