Brink’s to spin off home alarm unit
From Times Wire Services
Armored-truck provider Brink’s Co. plans to spin off its Brink’s Home Security residential alarm unit into a separate, publicly traded company.
The spinoff will probably be completed in the fourth quarter, Richmond, Va.-based Brink’s said. The spinoff is expected to take the form of a tax-free stock distribution to Brink’s shareholders.
The existing company will continue to operate Brink’s Inc., its secure-transportation and cash-management unit.
