O.C. agency OKs sewer rate hike
The Orange County Sanitation District approved a sewer service rate increase to fund more than $1.5 billion worth of improvements and to meet customer demands, officials said Thursday. The district approved an annual increase that would raise the fee from the current $182 a year to $294 a year by 2013, said spokeswoman Jennifer Cabral.
The first increase will take effect with the next property tax bills in September.
