Michael Beasley, Kansas State

* Season stats: 24.2 ppg, 13.5 rpg.

* What he’s done lately: Beasley, the nation’s leading rebounder and fourth-leading scorer, had five points and 12 rebounds against Xavier after a 21-point, 10-rebound performance against Wagner.

* What’s ahead: Monday vs. Savannah State.

Eric Gordon, Indiana

* Season stats: 23.4 ppg, 43.7 3-pt FG%.

* What he’s done lately: He scored 22 points against Chicago State. But by his standards, Gordon is in a shooting slump, making only three of 16 three-pointers over his past two games.

* What’s ahead: Wednesday at Iowa.

Kevin Love, UCLA

* Season stats: 16.4 ppg, 10.2 rpg.

* What he’s done lately: Love had 13 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots against UC Davis. He played only 26 minutes of the runaway win but was plenty involved on offense, taking 11 shots.

* What’s ahead: Thursday at Stanford, Saturday at California.

O.J. Mayo, USC

* Season stats: 19.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg.

* What he’s done lately: Mayo, a guard, had 20 points and a team-high eight rebounds against UC Riverside. His eight-for-21 shooting was fairly typical, but he made five of 11 shots in the second half to help the Trojans pull away.

* What’s ahead: Thursday at California, Saturday at Stanford.

Derrick Rose, Memphis

* Season stats: 15.5 points, 4.4 apg.

* What he’s done lately: Rose had 12 points and five assists in a victory over Arizona, but the anticipated matchup with standout Arizona freshman Jerryd Bayless didn’t happen because Bayless was out with a sprained knee.

* What’s ahead: Thursday vs. Siena, Saturday vs. Pepperdine.
