* New Orleans 118, at Phoenix 113: Chris Paul had a simple request for Coach Byron Scott. “I said, ‘Coach, let me play the whole game,’ ” Paul said after going all 48 minutes and leading the Hornets to a comeback victory. He had 28 points -- including 14 in the fourth quarter -- and 10 assists, helping to end the Suns’ four-game winning streak.

* at Chicago 94, Sacramento 93: Ben Wallace made the first of two free throws with 3.2 seconds remaining and then blocked Brad Miller’s jumper with about a second left. The Kings’ Justin Williams grabbed the rebound after the second free throw, and the Kings called a 20-second timeout. Miller caught the inbound pass, and Wallace blocked the shot.

* at Portland 109, Utah 89: Martell Webster had a career-high 26 points -- 24 in the third quarter -- and the Trail Blazers got their revenge against the Jazz. Earlier in the week, the Jazz ended a 13-game Portland winning streak with a 111-101 victory at Salt Lake City. The Trail Blazers, who led by as many as 20 points, have won three in a row since the streak-stopping loss. They have lost only one of their last 17 games.
