Handyman sought hit man, police say
A disgruntled handyman who apparently felt cheated after he was fired from a home remodeling job has been arrested on suspicion of trying to hire a hit man to kill the homeowner and his family, authorities said.
Basil Leonard Dantinne, 62, was hired in December 2006 and lived on the property until he was laid off last June, authorities said.
Dantinne believed the owner owed him $100,000. When he attempted to hire a man to kill the former employer, the would-be assassin warned the homeowner, authorities said.
