Woman held in daughter ‘s death
A 27-year-old Placer County mother is being held without bail on charges she drowned her 8-day-old daughter in the bathroom sink.
Kristina Fuelling of Granite Bay was arrested Sunday on suspicion of murder after police received a 911 call from her husband about 6 a.m. He told police that his wife had called him to the bathroom, where he found their newborn daughter, Faith Evelyn Fuelling.
The woman, who will be tested for alcohol and drug use, has no history of substance abuse and no criminal record. She is cooperating with authorities.
