New York dance-rock group LCD Soundsystem has taken top honors in the Village Voice’s annual critics poll, where its album “Sound of Silver” was named the best album of 2007.

Radiohead’s self-released, name-your-price collection “In Rainbows” narrowly beat Sri Lanka-born, London-based rapper M.I.A.’s “Kala” for second place in the survey of 577 critics.

The top 10 was completed by Amy Winehouse, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, Spoon, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Bruce Springsteen and the National. In the voting for singles, Winehouse’s winning “Rehab” finished slightly ahead of Rihanna’s “Umbrella.”

The Voice’s Pazz & Jop poll has long been the leading measure of critical consensus each year. Its upstart challenger, the Idolator blog, recently released its second poll, with a top 10 album list that included eight of the Voice’s winners. The 452 contributors substituted Panda Bear and Of Montreal for Springsteen and Plant-Krauss.
