‘I’m convinced that the subprime loan crisis was the fault of a nation of gullible consumers with Christian values and poor math skills. Ms. Miller let a loan officer talk her into refinancing her mortgage so that she owed more at a higher interest rate. Did it ever occur to her that she might be talking to a messenger of the devil?’
