$1-million fine for Reno McDonald’s
A McDonald’s Corp. franchisee will pay a $1-million fine after pleading guilty in Las Vegas federal court to felony immigration offenses for giving false Social Security numbers to illegal immigrants.
The charges follow an investigation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, who say management of Mack Associates Inc. knowingly hired illegal immigrants in Reno-area McDonald’s restaurants.
The Justice Department released details of the plea agreement late Wednesday.
Two officials of the company face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
