Scaffold collapse kills 2 painters
From Times Wire Reports
A scaffold holding three painters at an industrial complex collapsed, killing two of them and injuring the other.
The men were painting a fuel tank at the International-Matex Tank Terminals in Bayonne when a bolt failed, said Hudson County prosecutor Edward DeFazio.
The tank was about 60 feet high, and DeFazio described the accident as “the equivalent of a multistory fall.”
