Re “Hands off the cellphone, but the computer’s fine,” June 25

If Ford, Chrysler and General Motors think Americans will buy gas guzzlers if the right gadgets are installed, they’re doomed. From now on, they should just watch what Toyota and Honda do and try to copy that as quickly as they can. How can they still be so out of touch with the American car buyer? Aren’t their executives buying gas at $4.60 a gallon like the rest of us?
