Sisters ease the sting; enough of ‘Bee’s’ buzz

We will talk about: “The Return of Jezebel James.” This is the new show by the creator of “Gilmore Girls,” Amy Sherman-Palladino. It’s about a successful New Yorker (Parker Posey) who asks her schlubby sister (Lauren Ambrose) to carry her baby. Sounds good and interesting, but we watched some promos on Fox’s website and there appears to be a laugh track -- a deeply disturbing development. (Friday)

This is the last time you have to talk about: “Bee Movie.” Remember that “Bee Movie”/Jerry Seinfeld saturation point we reached last fall? The incessant commercials and profiles? Just when we thought all that was behind us, out came the Seinfeld-voiced insect at the Oscars to present an award. Enough! This week the film arrives on DVD. Display ads will ensue, but then, hopefully, we can all move on. (Tuesday)

You should talk about: “sTori Telling.” Donna Martin was our least favorite “90210” kid (except for Andrea, who always looked like she was 30). But we’ve loved Tori Spelling ever since we became obsessed with “So NoTORIous” in 2006. This week she releases an autobiography. We probably won’t read it, but we like knowing it’s out there. Our friends will talk about: “Top Chef.” A certain obsessed editor frequently reminds us that “American Idol” is the most popular show in America, and while we know that must be true, we still don’t know anyone who watches it by choice. Our friends all watch “Top Chef,” which has two of the greatest judges on reality TV (Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons). It starts a new season on Bravo this week. (Wednesday)

We’ve been waiting 10 years to talk about: The president of the Presidents of the United States of America fan club. The Presidents sang that catchy song about eating a lot of peaches back in 1996 and have a new album out this week called “These Are the Good Times People.” Well, guess what. Our sister’s husband’s best friend was the president of their fan club, which we found very amusing at the time. (Tuesday)
