HP to consolidate some of its offices

Hewlett-Packard Co., halfway into a four-year plan to cut real estate costs, will vacate some space in California while keeping the building that housed the offices of founders Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard.

The world’s largest personal computer maker will close three buildings in Palo Alto and combine offices in Palo Alto and Cupertino. HP’s headquarters will stay in Palo Alto.
