Teen with gun at school sentenced
A student at Pasadena’s Blair International High School who was arrested last month for bringing a handgun to campus was sentenced Friday to an indefinite period of probation.
The case was handled by a Juvenile Court judge because the man, now 18, was a minor at the time of the arrest. His name has not been released.
During Friday’s hearing, the man admitted to one count of making a criminal threat and to being in a gang, said Sandi Gibbons, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
The man was arrested Feb. 29 after another student told authorities they saw a pupil with a firearm.
