Edison OKd to buy wind power

Edison International, the Rosemead-based owner of California’s largest electric utility, won regulatory approval to buy power from what’s slated to be the state’s largest wind farm.
The 10-year contract with the Alta Windpower unit of Allco Finance Group Ltd., an Australian firm, was approved on a 5-0 vote by the California Public Utilities Commission.
