Minister charged in Web sex sting

A minister from a Dallas-area Baptist megachurch was caught in an Internet sex sting and charged with online solicitation of a minor, police said.
Joe Barron, 52, of Plano, was arrested Thursday when he drove to Bryan, allegedly expecting to meet his online correspondent. Undercover officers had been posing as a 13-year-old girl.
Barron, who was released on bail, is one of 40 ministers at Prestonwood Baptist Church, which has 26,000 members and is one of the largest in the U.S.
