Horse racing: In Sunday’s Morning Briefing in the Sports section, an item said Bold Venture was among the horses who won the first two legs of the Triple Crown but lost in the Belmont Stakes. The horse’s owners passed up the Belmont in 1936, the year he won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness.
