The dynamics of seating fliers

I don’t know what airlines Marie Gilliam flies [“Finding a Plane Solution,” Letters, Nov. 9], but whenever I fly, the gate agents always have passengers board beginning with the rear (highest number) rows and then working forward.
The only exception to this is, of course, the boarding of first and business before coach.
