You probably remember that the Golden Globes didn’t get to hold its full banquet ceremony last time because of the writers strike. You might recall that Warren Beatty gave a rambling speech the year before upon accepting the Cecil B. DeMille award. And maybe you’ve heard tales of Angelina Jolie jumping into the Beverly Hilton Hotel pool in her gown after the 1999 Golden Globes. But did you know . . .

Go figure Katharine Hepburn, Oscar’s biggest-winning actress with four awards, never won a Golden Globe and the Globes’ biggest champ for film work, Rosalind Russell (tied with Meryl Streep at five), never won an Oscar.
