Let them eat Weenees
Re “World leaders agree to tighter economic controls,” Nov.16
Nothing better illustrates the difference between the architects and the victims of the current economic crisis than the dinner Friday at the White House.
World leaders, attending a meeting to discuss the worldwide financial meltdown, ate smoked quail and rack of lamb in the State Dining Room. They drank wine that retails for almost $500 a bottle.
They should have been on the Pennsylvania Avenue sidewalk, drinking warm sodas and eating cold Beanee Weenees.
