Suicide car bomber kills four
A suicide car bomber targeting an American convoy exploded about 200 yards outside the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, killing at least four people and wounding at least 18, the Afghan Public Health Ministry said.
The dead were all Afghan civilians. An embassy spokesman said all its personnel were safe.
The embassy was hosting a Thanksgiving Day fun run, so Americans and other Westerners were entering the compound when the bomb went off.
