Irish stew

I have a suggestion for Notre Dame: Why not schedule 14 football games a season, so if they lose eight, they can still be bowl-qualified.
Oh, wait. Have they done that already?

In response to Bill Dwyre’s Monday column regarding the USC-Notre Dame rivalry, rest assured, Bill, that no real Trojans fan is even remotely starting to feel bad for the Irish. Not this year or any year. I do agree with Bill that Irish fans will be mortified and embarrassed once again on Saturday evening. Right after USC runs Notre Dame right into the ground by, let’s say 55 points. Which is a point total Notre Dame “living loyalists” remember, although not fondly, I am sure.
