Trojans want to avoid letdown
The last time USC faced a supposedly outmanned opponent it was Oregon State, and that didn’t turn out well for the Trojans. What to look for in today’s game:
On the mend: Both quarterbacks limp into this one. USC’s Mark Sanchez has a bruised knee. Arizona State’s Rudy Carpenter has an injured ankle.
Carry on: The Sun Devils have been running on empty while the Trojans seem to be finally learning how to share.
Catching on: USC’s three main wide receivers are averaging more than 15 yards a catch, a big test for an Arizona State secondary ranked sixth in the Pac-10.
Return engagement: Arizona State needs its special teams to do something special. The Trojans? Just hold on!
Flag football: USC “leads” the conference in one thing: penalties.

Stunt man: Arizona State sophomore cornerback Omar Bolden might not get a warm reception from USC fans this afternoon. D8
