One day, a moose showed up in front of a boy’s house. The boy gave the moose a muffin and the moose wanted more.

First, the moose wanted jam with his muffin. When he finished the muffin, he wanted more again and again. When all the muffins were gone, the moose wanted the boy to make more. The boy was all out of muffin mix, so he and the moose went to the store. It was chilly outside, so the moose asked for a sweater. As the moose put on the red sweater he discovered a loose button. So the moose asked the boy for a needle and thread. As the moose sewed, he was reminded of his grandmother’s puppets. He asked the boy for some old socks to make his grandmother’s sock puppets. When the puppets were all finished, the moose wanted to put on a puppet show. Read the rest of the book and find out what the boy and moose did next.

It was a fun story. I liked it because it’s exciting. Marc Brown taught me that you should believe in yourself.

This book is about Howie, who starts a secret agent club. His family had moved, and Howie had to go to his new school. He was kind of nervous, but after a few days, he got used to it. Later that night, he read a Detective Dare Brain magazine. Detective Dare Brain is known for his bravery and amazing memory as a secret agent. Howie dreamed he was a secret agent who had solved a case and he became famous. The next morning, he goes to his school and makes a secret agent club. “Tales of the Jersey Devil”

This book is about three adventurous kids who have the idea of forming a club whose purpose is to find weird things. They’re on a hunt for local legends, UFOs, bizarre buildings, ghosts, monsters or anything that is just plain weird! I recommend this awesome book for kids or grownups because it’s based on the series Weird California! Come along with Mark as he recruits his club and they set off on adventures to explore all the strange things going on. It’s a hilarious search for the famous Jersey Devil.
