Woman jailed in online ‘killing’

A 43-year-old player in a virtual game world became so angry about her character’s sudden divorce from her online husband that she logged on with his password and killed his character, police said.

She has been jailed on suspicion of illegally accessing a computer and manipulating data in the game “Maple Story,” Japanese police said. She had not plotted any real-world revenge.
