Delta Enterprises Corp., South Shore Industries, Child Craft and two other makers of baby furniture were sued by California over claims that their products emit excessive amounts of formaldehyde gas.

California Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown said that formaldehyde emissions from cribs and changing tables made by the companies exceeded state limits. Formaldehyde causes cancer and respiratory problems.
