Two men who were involved in a fatal fight at Angel Stadium on opening day have met with police and been interviewed, but no arrests have been made, authorities said Thursday.

On Wednesday, police released photographs of the two men they believed were involved in the fight. Both voluntarily contacted police Wednesday evening and were interviewed the next day, said Sgt. Rick Martinez of the Anaheim Police Department. They have not been identified because they have not been arrested.

Brian Powers, 27, of Buena Park died at UCI Irvine Medical Center just a few hours after the end of the Angels’ opening-day game Monday against the Oakland Athletics.

Witnesses told police they saw Powers fighting with a man near a stairwell in the right-field pavilion, according to the department.

During the fight, witnesses said, another man approached Powers from behind and punched him in the head, causing him to fall and strike his head on a concrete step.

Martinez said the investigation is continuing.
