at St. Louis 7, San Diego 5: Colby Rasmus' two-run home run capped a three-run ninth inning for the Cardinals.

Philadelphia 4, at Atlanta 1: Ryan Howard hit two home runs and drove in all of the Phillies' runs.

Houston 8, at Milwaukee 5: Geoff Blum hit a three-run home run and a run-scoring single to lead the Astros.

Washington 5, at Cincinnati 4: Pinch-hitter Ryan Zimmerman had a key run-scoring single for the Nationals.

Pittsburgh at Chicago, ppd., rain: No makeup date was announced.
