Update: Though the Clippers are calling Marcus Camby’s sprained left ankle a day-to-day situation, he could be out for an extended period, according to those familiar with this type of injury -- potentially another severe blow for the struggling team, as he has been one of its few bright spots. The Clippers’ victory over Milwaukee on Saturday was their ninth of the season; last season, they got their ninth win on Dec. 14, 2007. The Timberwolves fired coach Randy Wittman two days after a Dec. 6 loss to the Clippers and have steadied under his replacement Kevin McHale. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games and won at Phoenix on Friday.
