Vice President Dick Cheney pulled a muscle in his back while moving boxes and will be in a wheelchair for today’s inauguration.

White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said Cheney, who will be 68 on Jan. 30, was helping move into his new home in McLean, Va., when he injured his back. His doctor recommended that he use a wheelchair for a few days.

Meantime, a federal judge ruled Monday that Cheney has broad discretion in determining which of his records must be preserved. But U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly rejected the contention that Cheney alone has the right to decide what the Presidential Records Act means for the office of the vice president.
