Tough love in a recession

Was this the most sympathetic cross section of homeowners in trouble that Legal Aid and Sara Catania could find?
Here’s a belated bulletin for these families: Life is not a grand journey up, up, up. There are health, marital and financial ups and downs. Being an adult means thinking of both the best and worst scenarios. If you don’t have at least a general idea what you’d do if you can’t make a financial obligation, then don’t assume it.
I write this as a liberal Democrat well to the left of our president.
One of the few things I agree with my deceased parents on is that the homes one lives in are not cash cows to be tapped.
