With their 16th album, the indie-rock legends ditch the comforts of a major label for New York indie Matador. It’s their first full studio album in three years, and the 12 tracks offer a bit of the old with the new. (Tuesday)

In need of a Father’s Day gift? Talk about: “Gran Torino.”

Clint Eastwood directed/produced/starred in the well-received drama about a grumpy Korean War vet and his unlikely bond with his teenage neighbor. If the story line doesn’t hold Dad’s interest, shots of the sleek muscle car will. And bonus features include a documentary about “manhood.” (Tuesday)

Need a summer fix of a modeling competition? Talk about: “She’s Got the Look.”

“America’s Next Top Model” may have ended its millionth, er, 12th cycle, but that doesn’t mean beauty takes a hiatus. Watch would-be models over the age of 35 (yes, they exist)as they compete for a chance at a supermodel career with the return of this TV Land series. It’s a must-see if you like clothes, make-up and cat fights -- or should we say “cougar fights”? (Thursday)

If you want to see a movie that’s set in space, but you’re tired of pointy-eared Vulcans, talk about: “Moon.”

The thoughtful homage to classic sci-fi stars Sam Rockwell as astronaut Sam Bell, who experiences strange, inexplicable encounters while stranded on the moon over a three-year period. The Duncan Jones film divided critics at Sundance, but if you’re bored by the bells and whistles playing at a multiplex near you, consider it a refreshing alternative. (Friday)
