Nearly 1 ton of cocaine was found hidden inside frozen shark carcasses, prosecutors in Mexico said.
Hundreds of packages stuffed in the bellies of dozens of dead sharks seized in the Gulf port of Progreso contained 1,965 pounds of cocaine, authorities said. The attorney general’s office said the sharks were found in two containers.
