Confederations Cup: An article in Wednesday’s Sports section previewing the U.S.-Spain soccer match said Spain’s last loss was to Northern Ireland on Sept. 6, 2006. That was Spain’s last competitive loss. Romania defeated Spain in a friendly match on Sept. 15, 2006.
