An artist or vandal?

Why does The Times continue to give publicity to so-called graffiti artists [“Chaka, Face to Deface,” by Mike Boehm, April 25]? They are some of the scum of the Earth. Daniel Ramos and his ilk have defaced private and public property throughout Southern California. I am embarrassed to have visitors to this area see graffiti everywhere.

We have many wonderful artists in the Los Angeles area. Why not report on them instead of the graffiti trash?
