Times Staff And Wire Reports

About 35,000 Wagner paint sprayers, manufactured in China and imported by Wagner Spray Tech Corp. of Plymouth, Minn., are being recalled because the on-off switch can dislodge from the casing, exposing the electrical connections. This poses a risk of shocks.

The sprayers were sold for about $99 at chain home centers and hardware stores around the country between August 2007 and April 2009. Information: (888) 925-6244, www.wagnerspraytech .com or www.cpsc.gov.

* About 1,300 hooded jackets for children, manufactured in Pakistan and imported by Jason Evans Associates of Hewlett, N.Y., are being recalled because the hood’s drawstring poses a strangulation hazard. The jackets were sold for about $17 at Burlington Coat Factory stores from September 2006 through April 2009. Information: (888) 683-0063 or www.cpsc.gov.
