Update: Having lost the first game in its brief history to Boston last weekend, the Sol can avenge that defeat by beating the Breakers today. The Sol sent defender Kendall Fletcher and forward Christie Welsh and a 2011 second-round draft pick to St. Louis Athletica for a conditional first-round pick in next year’s Women’s Professional Soccer draft and a first-round pick in 2011. Meanwhile, Sol defender Brittany Bock and midfielder Shannon Boxx have been called to the U.S. women’s national team camp for two exhibitions against Japan.
