CHICAGO — Ivan Rodriguez hit his 300th home run, Lance Berkman had two hits and a run batted in and the Houston Astros snapped the Chicago Cubs’ five-game winning streak with a 6-5 victory Sunday.
“I was telling my father last night I would love to hit it here because I know the fans are going to throw it,” said Rodriguez, who got his wish when a fan tossed the ball back on the field.
Houston starter Brian Moehler pitched five innings to get his first victory since Sept. 10, 2008, against Pittsburgh. Moehler was backed by a strong performance from the Houston bullpen.
